Simplified Chinese is the language that Chinese people using now. Traditional Chinese Characters are also hard for Chinese people to learn it, because the character is too complicated. Thus, the premier of China Mao Ze Dong organized to simplify the character based on Cursive characters. Simplified Chinese Character began organized in 1946 and started to use in 1956. The purpose of simplifying the character is that there are too many illiteracy people in China, so that they can decrease the illiteracy rate in China. (Naver Encyclopedia, 2000)
Simplified Chinese Character has an advantage that it's easy to learn, but it lost the function of ideograms. Simplified Chinese Character is hard to indicate the meaning of the character clearly, because it simplified too much. Before people could guess the meaning of the word with radicle and other characters in one word. However, now they are all simplified, so it's hard to know the meaning at one time. (하늘살이, 2016)
It also causes conflict between Hong Kong and China. Hong Kong was UK's colony, when traditional Chinese was simplified, so it didn't affect Hong Kong at that time. However, Hong Kong is part of China now. Thus, Hong Kong and China sometimes argue with the problem that using of simplified Chinese character.
